The Ministry of Infrastructure and the Environment (I&M) is one of the eleven ministries that together form the national government of the Netherlands. The ministry consists of policy directorates and support services and six agencies: Rijkswaterstaat (RWS), the Inspectorate for Transport, Public Works and Water Management (IVW), Inspectorate for Housing, Spatial Planning and the Environment (VI), the Netherlands Emissions Authority (NEA), the Netherlands Environmental Assessment Agency (PBL) and the Royal Netherlands Meteorological Institute (KNMI).
