WP.29/2016/51: Proposal to- amend the tyre dimensional requirements,
- amend the requirements for the load/speed performance test,
- align definitions and content with the other tyre regulations (UN Regulations Nos. 117, 54, 75 etc.),
- include a definition of “manufacturer” extracted from the resolution R.E.3,
- adopt a common definition and use of the terms “Manufacturer’s name”, “Brand name”, “Trademark”, “Trade description” and “Commercial name” and their links, and
- add information in the certificate to enable approval authorities to more easily understand the products the certificate addresses.

WP.29/2021/75: Proposal to amend the extended mobility tyre (EMT) symbol following the detection of dimensional inconsistencies within the International Organization for Standardization Working Group (ISO) TC31/SC3/WG19, where the dimension “0,33h” was judged wrong and constituting an unnecessary over constraint and to amend the inflation value to be used for the tyre conditioning when assessing the “flat tyre running mode” of “run flat tyres” and of “extended mobility tyres”. - Clarify the structure indication within the tyre size designation for run flat or self-supporting tyres suitable for speeds in excess of 240 km/h (inscription "ZRF")

- Amend the definition of principal grooves by eliminating the circular reference between this definition and the position of tread wear indicators.
