WP.29/2015/41 | Proposal for amendments to draft Revision 3 of the 1958 Agreement Certain UN Regulations contain provisions to allow for local divergence from the uniform requirements they present. The draft Revision 3 of the 1958 Agreement refers categorically to these "special provisions". Since such provisions work against the principles of harmonization and mutual recognition of approvals, OICA proposes to clarify that the 1958 Agreement recognizes such provisions as existed prior to Revision 3 without institutionalizing the recourse to such deviations as a regular part of the UN regulatory process.

SG58-14-05 | Proposal to resolve the acceptance of [later/latest] version in context of L-IWVTA The International Whole Vehicle Type Approval system under development proposes to allow for the acceptance by Contracting Parties of approvals issued according to versions of a regulation earlier than the latest version in force as well as of approvals issued under some, but not all, regulations that comprise the IWVTA. This document proposes an approach to manage the various configurations of the Limited IWVTA.

SG58-14-03 | Preparation of former versions of a UN Regulation UNECE secretariat response to the question on preparation (upon the request of a CP) of “former versions of UN Regulation”

SG58-14-04 | Version of a UN Regulation OICA input concerning the proposed concept for “versions” of UN Regulations for use within the global system for the mutual recognition of type approvals. A version involves the possibility for issuance of new approvals to previous forms of a given regulation (as opposed to the current system where parties can only issue new approvals to the latest version in force of a regulation).
