UNECE secretariat response to the question on preparation (upon the request of a CP) of “former versions of UN Regulation”

OICA input concerning the proposed concept for “versions” of UN Regulations for use within the global system for the mutual recognition of type approvals. A version involves the possibility for issuance of new approvals to previous forms of a given regulation (as opposed to the current system where parties can only issue new approvals to the latest version in force of a regulation).
