Opening Remarks
1. Adoption of the agenda
GRB/2015/1 | Annotated provisional agenda for the 61st GRB session (January 2015)
GRB-61-04 | General information and WP.29 highlights for the 61st GRB session
2. Regulation No. 28 (Audible warning devices)
GRB/2014/4 | Proposal for amendments to Regulation No. 28 The current UN R28 test procedures specify voltages that cannot be reached by many vehicles' internal battery charges alone; however, the provisions can be met if the vehicle is warmed up and run at idle. Therefore, OICA proposes to allow vehicles to be run at idle during the test procedure. OICA also proposes to change the minimum sound level requirement for vehicles of category M and N and motorcycles of a power greater than 7 kW from 93 dB to 87 dB.
GRB-61-07 | Proposal for amendment to ECE/TRANS/WP.29/GRB/2014/4
GRB-61-12 | Proposal for draft amendments to UN Regulation No. 28 Proposal to update and clarify the text of UN R28.
3. Regulation No. 41 (Noise of motorcycles): Development
GRB/2015/2 | Proposal for amendments to the 04 series of amendments to Regulation No. 41 Under the current 04 series of amendments to UN Regulation No. 41, the engine speed should be measured during all tests in Annex 3 and Annex 7 (Additional sound emission provisions - ASEP). However, IMMA has found that there is very little difference between the measured and the calculated engine speed for a manual transmission (MT) vehicle (Annex, figure 1) and no impact on the test result (Annex, figure 2). Therefore, this proposal would introduce a calculated engine speed for MT vehicles and for continuously variable transmission (CVT)/automatic transmission (AT) with locked gear mechanism into UN Regulation No. 41.
GRB/2015/2/Corr.1 | Proposal for amendments to the 04 series of amendments to Regulation No. 41 - Corrigendum Correction to the text of the proposed amendment to introduce a calculated engine speed for manual transmission vehicles and for continuously variable transmission (CVT)/automatic transmission (AT) with locked gear mechanism into UN Regulation No. 41.
GRB-61-11 | Proposal to amend R41-04 to formalize the GRB interpretation of the conformity of production In response to concerns that approval agencies may not grant manufacturers the additional 1dB for L(wot) on conformity of production tests as changes had been made to Annex 6 of R41-04, GRB issued an interpretation recorded in the report of its 56th session. However, IMMA believes that industry and agency personnel may still not be aware of the interpretation. Therefore, IMMA proposes to codify the interpretation within UN R41.
GRB/2015/2/Corr.2 | Proposal for amendments to the 04 series of amendments to Regulation No. 41 - Corrigendum 2 Correction of typographical errors in the original proposal (document GRB/2015/2): "locked" instead of "rocked".
GRB/2015/2/Corr.2 | Proposal for amendments to the 04 series of amendments to Regulation No. 41 - Corrigendum 2 Correction of typographical errors in the original proposal (document GRB/2015/2): "locked" instead of "rocked".
GRB/2015/5 | Proposals for amendment to Regulations Nos. 9, 41 and 63 The purpose of this proposal is to update the reference to the latest version of the ISO 10844 and to introduce transitional provisions for the shift of the test track requirements from ISO 10844: 1994 to ISO 10844: 2014.
