90. The Secretary to the Working Party on Road Traffic Safety (WP.1) recalled and summarized the outcomes of the October 2025 session, already presented to WP.29 in November 2025 (ECE/TRANS/WP.1/193). He noted that WP.29 had observed in November 2025 that GRE, at its recent October 2025 session, had identified discrepancies between UN Regulation No. 48 and the 1968 Vienna Convention on Road Traffic. He informed WP.1 that GRE experts would join its next session in March 2026 to present these issues.

91. The representative of OICA noted that WP.29 was about to finalize the certification tool for Automated Driving Systems. He noted the importance to focus on the safe use of ADS in traffic and highlighted the activities of the IWG on Safe Use of ADS in Traffic under WP.1.

92. The Secretary to WP.1 informed WP.29 of the invitation of the representative of the Institute of Road Traffic Education (IRTE) in Delhi (India) to the WP.1, WP.29 and GRVA leadership teams and secretariat (as well as WP.15) to a three-day conference on Road Safety Advancements in December 2026. WP.29 welcomed this invitation and encouraged the leadership teams of the respective groups to join that conference
