62. The representative of Japan, Chair of the IWG on IWVTA, presented the status report of the group. He mentioned the exploratory activities of the group on new approaches to U-IWVTA and L-IWVTA to increase the attractiveness of IWVTA, the discussion on the small volume manufacturers provisions and the potential preparation of amendments to the General Guidelines on Transitional Provisions to improve clarity.

63. WP.29 considered the proposal (ECE/TRANS/WP.29/2025/159) for the 08 series of amendments to UN Regulation No. 0 (IWVTA) and recommended its submission to AC.1 for voting.
