46. The GRBP Chair reported on the results achieved by GRBP at its eighty-first session (for details, see the report of the session ECE/TRANS/WP.29/GRBP/79).
47. In particular, he pointed out that GRBP had adopted a proposal for a new 06 series of amendments to UN Regulation No. 41 (Noise emissions of motorcycles), in order to strengthen the RD-ASEP testing conditions of motorcycles.
48. He also briefed WP.29 on the activities of the joint GRBP/GRPE Task Force on Tyre Abrasion (TF TA) with the aim to develop future limits for tyre abrasion and on the GRBP efforts to find the most appropriate place for abrasion performance, either in a separate UN Regulation or in UN Regulation No. 117 (Tyre rolling resistance, rolling noise and wet grip).
49. Finally, he requested to extend the mandate of IWG on Wet Grip Performance of Tyres in Worn State until September 2027, following an update of its Terms of Reference. WP.29 endorsed this extension.
