48. The representative of Australia proposed (GRVA-23-38) to work on the development of the 01 series of amendments to UN Regulation No. 178 on Emergency Lane Keeping System. He mentioned a study from Australian New Car Assessment Program (ANCAP) supporting the idea of improving user acceptance and detection of road edge. He noted that the systems have progressed significantly. Several delegations expressed interest in reviewing the study and evaluating whether accident data justify further amendments. The representative of Australia agreed to request authorization from ANCAP to publish the study. GRVA agreed to put this item into the agenda under 6 for the next session.
