10. The representative of the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland Co-Chair of the IWG on ADS, presented the status report (GRVA-23-24) of the group. It included details on the progress made since the last GRVA session, an overview of the common provisions for a UN Regulation and a UN Global Technical Regulation (GTR) on ADS, and the schedule of meetings until June 2026. He also presented the priorities for the next session scheduled in Vancouver (Canada) in October 2025 and subsequent meetings. The representative of Canada emphasised the great work accomplished, the number of meetings involved, and the efforts done to convene sessions in various regions of the world. The representative of CLEPA recalled that this workstream was a priority for his organization.
11. GRVA noted with satisfaction the progress made to date, as well as the information provided on timeline, priorities and the remaining open items. GRVA welcomed informal document GRVA-23-23, which contained the current draft for the common provisions for the two regulations on ADS. GRVA recalled that the current mandate run until June 2026 and noted that early discussions suggested further work beyond June 2026. GRVA agreed to discuss this item at its next session if input is already available.
12. The secretariat detailed the content of informal documents GRVA-23-22 and GRVA-23-22/Add.1, which provided the written reports on the activities of the IWG on ADS meetings and the workshops. GRVA requested the secretariat to provide them to WP.29 and the Executive Committee of the 1998 Agreement (AC.3).
