Draft proposal for submission to the March 2018 WP.29 session requesting authorization to pursue: - Revision of UN Regulations as warranted with regard to facilitation of vehicle technical inspections,
- Development of inspection countermeasures against tampering (target: June 2019),
- Guidance on the establishment of in-use performance requirements for equipment and systems (target: November 2019),
- Consistency between the 1968 Vienna Convention (traffic rules) and the 1997 Vienna Agreement (vehicle inspections),
- Prescriptions for inspection of highly automated and autonomous vehicles (draft proposal June 2019),
- Guidance for education and certification of PTI inspectors, PTI quality assurance, and testing centres, and
- Uniform provisions for the inspection of wheeled agricultural and forestry tractors with regard their roadworthiness.
