GRE noted that, in the future, a new UN Global Technical Regulation (UN GTR) could be developed under stage 2 of the simplification of the lighting and light-signalling UN Regulations (SLR) (see para. 7 below) or as a result of consideration of light-signalling functions of automated/autonomous vehicles (see para. 40 below).
