In June 2011, the World Forum|WP.29 agreed to set up an informal group to develop a proposal to introduce the flexible pedestrian legform impactor (FlexPLI) as the single harmonized test tool within GTR No. 9 and UN Regulation No. 127 on pedestrian safety. Japan and Germany are the co-sponsors of the effort with OICA acting as the secretary of the informal group. The group currently anticipates completion of this work by June 2014.
