This proposal (WP.29/2020/3) was adopted by the World Forum. Thirty-seven Contracting Parties out of the 48 applying UN R28 were present for the vote by AC.1. Thirty-seven voted in favor with zero against and zero abstaining.
Proposal to introduce a definition for “Electronic” to mean a principle of operation by electric or electro-magnetic force with amplifier and speaker or resonator in order to address new technologies enabling a driver-actuated audible signal of the presence of a vehicle in a dangerous traffic situation.
