Document setting out transitional provisions for UN R53 covering the 01 to 04 series of amendments. Provisions specify dates and timeframes for Contracting Parties’ obligations regarding approval of vehicle types with respect to lighting and light-signalling devices, including: 60 months following entry into force of Supplement 10 to the 01 series; 48 months following the 02 series; 1 September 2023 for the 03 series; and 1 September 2028, 2030 for the 04 series. Provisions address acceptance of existing approvals, extensions thereof, and vehicles not affected by changes.
