Reference document setting out transitional provisions for UN R48 across series 03 through 09. Specifies dates and conditions under which Contracting Parties must grant approvals only to vehicles meeting requirements of each series, timeframes for accepting approvals under preceding series, and dates from which prior approvals need no longer be recognized. For series 03, provisions apply from 10 October 2007 onwards with different dates for different vehicle categories and marking types. Series 04 transitions begin 07 February 2011 for M₁ and N₁ vehicles and 07 August 2012 for other categories. Series 05 applies from 30 January 2015. Series 06 from 18 November 2017. Series 07, 08, and 09 include staggered implementation dates through 2031 depending on vehicle category.
