Presentation on baseline amendments to UN R53 series 05. Main improvements include simplifying definitions in para. 2 by deleting common definitions to UN R48 (reducing from 49 to 27 definitions), adding a summary table of lamp positioning and geometric visibility angles aligned with UN R48, amending the communication sheet with comments from the previous GRE session, amending reference paragraphs 5.15. and 5.16. for readability, aligning further text with UN R48, moving the reference number field for UN R48 series of amendment under para. 10., retaining only the latest transitional provisions in the baseline document with previous ones moved to a reference document, simplifying para. 6.×.4. and 6.×.5. aligned with UN R48, and providing editable pictures.
