Hydrogen mono-fuel engines and vehicles are already covered, however hydrogen dual-fuel engines and vehicles are not yet possible to be type-approved. This proposal introduces the requirements to accommodate type-approval of Type 1A hydrogen dual-fuel, as done for hydrogen mono-fuel.
