An updated version of the combined approach to define the representative test mass for a dedicated vehicle by T&E, ICCT and NL has been presented by A. Rijnders (WLTP‐DTP‐09‐13 and WLTP‐DTP‐09‐14). In principle there was support from DTP –Group for this general approach. This approach was also estimated to be capable to deal with In‐Use and COP.

The group was doubtful whether it is sensible to include the selection of tyres into the combined approach. For further clarification ICCT will provide an assessment on the CO2‐impact of the tyre choice (regarding the tyre classes). OICA also offered support if requested.

Further consideration is necessary at DTP 10.

The group discussed the issue of payloads with the idea to align the payload for M1 and N1 in order to reduce the amount of testing and to address the need for representativity and technical justification. A. Rijnders explained, that the proposed payloads are set for the validation phase 2. Further considerations and political advice based on additional data and examples are necessary. Additional Data can be delivered during Validation/Evaluation or by other concerned parties (e.g. OICA). The issue will be readdressed at DTP 10.
