23. The expert from EC reported on the status of transposing the Euro VI requirements into Regulation No. 49 (GRPE-62-11). Referring to GRPE-62-10, he explained his intention to transpose the whole scope as defined in the European Union (EU) Regulation No. 595/2009 and to submit it as a new series of amendments to Regulation No. 49. He volunteered to finalize the proposal taking into account the comments received and to submit it, in due time, to GRPE for consideration at its next session in January 2012 as an official document. In this respect, he invited all experts to send him their possible concerns by mid-July 2011 at the latest.

24. GRPE acknowledged the commitment by the expert from EC for this important task and agreed to resume consideration of this subject at its next session.
