The expert from EC recalled the purpose of ECE/TRANS/WP.29/GRPE/2011/16 and GRPE-62-09 proposing to amend the provisions of Annexes 9B and 9C (with respect to the on-board diagnostic communication protocol) and to clarify some concerns identified during the preparation of legislation implementing the Euro VI emission levels. The expert from OICA introduced GRPE-62-16 containing a number of additional amendments.

22. GRPE adopted ECE/TRANS/WP.29/GRPE/2011/16, as amended by GRPE-62-09 and GRPE-62-16. The secretariat was requested to submit the adopted proposal to WP.29 and AC.1, for consideration at their November 2011 sessions, as draft Supplement 5 to the 05 series of amendments to Regulation No. 49.
