Brussels
Agenda Item 5.
Further proceeding

6. The secretary will revise AVLI-01-03/Rev.1 according to the decisions taken as soon as possible. This document will be distributed as AVLI-01-03/Rev.2a as an informal document for further consideration at the next meeting. The Commission will be informed about the progress made in the Informal WG ‘AVLI’.

7. Dr. Karl Manz agreed to make a proposal concerning the installation of the reversing lamp(s) and minimum requirements to avoid glaring for the 3rd session.

8. For the maximum height of the optional additional (second pair of) stop lamps, positions lamps and directions indicators, a maximum height of 4 m has been accepted generally. However, the wording needs to be improved to avoid that the maximum height of the vehicle exceeds 4 m due to the frame of the lamps. DE will make an appropriate proposal for the 3rd session.

9. The discussions of the comments received will be continued during the 3rd session. The results of that session will be included in a further revision, which will become AVLI-01-03/Rev.2b.

10. Italy will check the whole document with the objective to align the wording with R 48 wherever suitable and will make appropriate proposals. These proposals will be considered after the 3rd meeting in a small task force, comprising of the expert from Italy, the Secretary and the Chairmen. The result of this editorial work will be included in a further revision, which will become AVLI-01-03/Rev.3. This document should be ready before the deadline for submitting formal documents to GRE for the 71st session (10 January 2014) for a possible adoption of GRE.
