The representative of the United States of America, on behalf of the Chair of IWG on Electric Vehicle Safety (EVS), UN GTR No. 20, Phase 2 and of GRSP, informed AC.3 about the progress of the group. She said that IWG had met in Tokyo from 11 to 13 June 2019. She explained that an official report of the meeting was being drafted, and that, once reviewed by GRSP, would be presented to AC.3. She clarified that IWG had covered such issues as thermal runaway, battery vibration and water immersion safety. Finally, she announced that the next meeting was scheduled to take place in Berlin in the first week of December 2019.
