UN R129: Proposal for Supplement 3 to the 02 series of amendments

Proposal to specify the proper use and behavior of an adult safety-belt used to install a non-integral Enhanced CRS during dynamic tests. These instructions are present in UN R44, but not in UN R129. Therefore, this proposal would align the two regulations. The proposal also clarifies that the opening force applied to the ISOFIX attachments of a complete seat or of a seat component under the test protocol is 50 ± 1 N.

This proposal (WP.29/2018/42) was adopted by the World Forum. Thirty-seven Contracting Parties out of the 53 applying UN R129 were present for the vote by AC.1. Thirty-seven voted in favor with zero against and zero abstaining.
