Proposal to replace the term “roof” with the term “ceiling” throughout the text pursuant to Supplement 1 to the 02 series of amendments which modified the definition of “interior compartment” (previously “passenger compartment”) in paragraph 2.2. The definition replaced the term “roof” by “ceiling” in reference to the upper boundary surface of the compartment definition; however, the change in terminology was not reflected throughout the rest of the text. This proposal corrects that omission.
This proposal (WP.29/2018/23) was adopted by the World Forum. Thirty-five Contracting Parties out of the 49 applying UN R118 were present for the vote by AC.1. Thirty-five voted in favor with zero against and zero abstaining.
