Proposal for Supplement 22 to Regulation No. 23
Proposal to clarify the requirements for light sources in the lighting and light-signalling Regulations listed in Annex 4 to Regulation No. 0 on the International Whole Vehicle Type Approval (IWVTA). This is one of a series of proposals to clarify that lighting devices may only be equipped with light source(s) approved according to UN R37 and/or UN R128 unless otherwise restricted by those regulations.
This proposal (WP.29/2017/77) was adopted by the World Forum. Thirty-seven Contracting Parties out of the 48 applying UN R23 were present for the vote by AC.1. Thirty-seven voted in favor with zero against and zero abstaining.
