Proposal for new safety provisions with regard to LPG systems having hydraulic interconnections with the petrol or diesel fueling system through which inter-flows of fuels may occur.

Proposal to clarify the definitions of LPG container accessories to facilitate coordination between the separate, independent approvals required for the LPG container and for its accessories. The proposal does not introduce any changes in technical requirements or changes in the test methodology. The proposed changes are intended to prevent the possibility of improper selection of accessories for the tank, which could arise due to lack of clear provisions of type-approval certificates issued for accessories fitted to the container.

Provided the tubing can withstand the applicable tests according to Annex 15, Table 1, such configurations should be permitted under UN R67 in order to remove an unwarranted design restriction.
