WP.29/2015/8: Proposal as approved by the GRRF to include ATV tires in the motorcycle and moped tire regulation in order to enable the type approval of tires designed to equip quadricycles covered by the new Regulation (EU) No. 168/2013 of 15 January 2013 on the approval and market surveillance of two- or three-wheel vehicles and quadricycles (L category vehicles). These tires may also equip some agricultural tractors (SbS vehicles) covered by the new EU Regulation.

UN R75 | Original text | Supplement 19
(2021)
WP.29/2021/6: Proposal to- Change the definition of the tyre size designation by including prefixes and suffixes as well as the code for the tyre structure
- Clarify the use of sizes listed in Annex 5
- Move the definition of "reinforced" into a paragraph that is not subordinated to the definition of "Structure of a tyre"
- Correct references and typographical errors
- Rearrange paragraphs and amendments in order to increase readability
- Delete an unnecessary cross-reference to UN Regulation No. 54
- Change the definition of "bias-belted"
- Amend the definition of "snow tyres" by replacing "ordinary (road-type) tyres" (which is not defined) by "normal tyre", removing the note that snow tyres generally have more widely spaced ribs or blocks
- Include a general provision addressing the gap between the effective date of entry into force and the date of notification of the adoption of the Supplement to the Contracting Parties
- Keep the restriction of measurement of overall diameter after load/speed test only to diagonal tyres (For radial the variation of outer diameter of the tyre, measured six hours after the load/speed performance test as specified in paragraph 2 of Annex 7, is far below ±3.5 per cent from the outer diameter as measured before the test.)
- Remove use of the word "moulding"
- Resolve conflicting provisions in Annex 2 concerning the minimum size of the approval mark
- Clarify that mounting motorcycle tyres on motorcycle rims is the standard configuration and that "M/C" marking is optional for the sizes listed in Annex 5.
With 33 of the 47 Contracting Parties applying UN R75 present and voting, AC.1 adopted document WP.29/2021/6 by a vote of 33 in favor, 0 opposed, with 0 abstaining.

(Formal WP.29 review)
WP.29/2025/72: Proposal to- Add a generic reference to the Consolidated Resolution on the Construction of Vehicles (R.E.3) in footnote 5.
- align the categories of use to "normal tyre", "snow tyre" and "specialuse tyre" in line with UN R30 and 54, to introduce a definition of "normal
tyre" and consequently make use of the terms "snow tyre" and "special-use tyre" that are already defined
- reformat Annex 5, Table 7 to present the tyre-size designations in a consistent way and to provide explicitly that tyre-size designations from this table may also be used for tyres in bias-beltedvstructure
- Include the suffix "M/C" that is defined as mandatory for motor-cycle tyres with rim diameter code 13 and above in the figure illustrating the sidewall markings in Annex 3 and to present the markings in a clearer way
- Add provisions for the dimensional requirements of moped tyres
- Add a factor for the centrifugal radius of snow tyres and special-use tyres with a speed category above 210 km/h
- Give the footnotes in the main body of the regulation an unequivocal number to avoid confusion when referencing to a particular footnote
- Include several editorial corrections to increase the consistency of the text (e.g. consistent use of the terms defined in section 2, such as "tyre-size designation", "load-capacity index", "speed-category symbol").
