In order to harmonise requirements among different installation Regulations, the SLR Officers offered to draft a proposal for Reg. 48 to clarify that devices not allowed in the Regulation are prohibited (in line with Par. 5.17. of Reg. 53).
Proposal is to define common rules while leaving the choice to countries to adopt them or not. These rules must in particular make it possible to automatically cut off the work lamps in circulation to avoid glare and make traffic safer
Proposal to increase the potential speed reduction during the collision warning phase and clarify the interpretation of “engine start/run cycle”.
This activity was run as a task force on Vehicle/Tyre Noise Measurement Uncertainties under the ASEP II informal group for the first five sessions.
