Task Force on UN R39 and mileage values (R39MV)
This task force was established in 2023 to address:
- accuracy of mileage values stored in vehicles and develop a maximum tolerance and type-approval test procedure accordingly,
- anti-tampering for (to prevent manipulation of) mileage values stored in vehicles,
- accuracy and anti-tampering of mileage values as displayed by the odometer.
