Document for reference containing transitional provisions applicable to the 01, 02, and 03 series of amendments to UN R74. For the 01 series: Contracting Parties shall grant approvals only if vehicle types with regard to number and mode of installation of lighting and light-signalling devices correspond to requirements, with 24 months entry into force and a four-year grace period. For the 02 series: Contracting Parties shall not be obliged to accept type-approvals to the preceding series first issued after 1 September 2023, with continued acceptance until 1 September 2028 for approvals first issued before that date. For the 03 series: Contracting Parties shall not be obliged to accept type-approvals to the preceding series first issued after 1 September 2028, with acceptance required until 1 September 2030 for approvals first issued before that date.
