REC | Session 12 | 4-5 Oct 2012 |
Mr Uhlik asked for a short discussion on the scope of the present draft of the REC relative to the original mandate for the group. The chairman agreed this would be discussed later in the meeting. Galey commented that, in discussions with other retrofit companies, it had been said that rather an enabling document the current draft, and in particular the NOx control (diagnostics) parameters to be discussed today, is becoming a barrier to retrofit due to the complexity. Other participants felt that the regulation has to strike a compromise between complexity and ensuring performance and that the NOx control requirements proposed are less onerous than those for OEMs. |
