50. The secretariat reported on the latest update of the status of the 1958 Agreement (ECE/TRANS/WP.29/343/Rev.33). Contracting parties were reminded that they should notify the secretariat about any amendments needed to Add.1 to the status document via the online tool (/343app).

51. The representative of Australia pointed out that, in December 2024, their country had started application of a number of UN Regulations and that the secretariat would be informed about that in due course, in order to update the status document.

52. The Chair of WP.29 drew the attention of Contracting Parties to mutual recognition obligations, which are established in the Agreement.

The secretariat informed the World Forum about the latest update of the status of the 1958 Agreement, based on ECE/TRANS/WP.29/343/Rev.33, available at https://unece.org/status-1958-agreement-and-annexed-regulations. WP.29 noted that contracting parties should notify the secretariat about any amendments needed to Add.1 to the status document via the online application (/343app) only. The secretariat also presented the situation with the entry into force of amendments and a new UN Regulation adopted at the March 2025 session of WP.29 (WP.29-196-11).
