47. The representative of Canada presented the meeting report of the leadership of the IWG on Acceleration Control for Pedal Error (ACPE) on the development of a UN GTR on ACPE (GRVA-23-32). He also presented a report intended for AC.3 as requested under the 1998 Agreement (GRVA-23-33). He noted the selection of a secretariat for the group was being selected and that OICA volunteered for this position. He announced that the group would request a mandate extension at a next AC.3 session. The representatives of Japan and Korea supported the idea of a mandate extension by one year.
