WP.29 noted the status report of the Task Force on Automated Vehicle Categorization presented by the GRVA Chair (WP.29-196-28), as well as two documents prepared by the Task Force with amendments to the Consolidated Resolution R.E.3 and Special Resolution S.R.1 (WP.29-196-29 and WP.29-196-30, respectively). WP.29 mandated the secretariat to reissue these documents as official documents for consideration at the next session in November 2025. Following the established practice and a recommendation of the secretariat, WP.29 invited any Contracting Party to the 1998 Agreement to become a sponsor of the amendment proposal to S.R.1.
