Proposal to align UN R13-H with technical advances and the emergence of a new type of braking system that employs stored electrical energy for both the control transmission and the energy transmission.
Proposal to specify the working principles of an Acoustic Vehicle Alerting System (AVAS) and to reduce measurement uncertainties during the measurement of the one third octave bands.
Proposal to adapt the regulation to allow for the approval of vehicles equipped with both an Automated Driving System and a manual driving mode.
Proposal to introduce an alternative method for assessment of the frontal visible volume to address future cab designs with narrower distances between A pillars. The current measurement method is dependent on the position of the A pillar. The alternative method is independent of the cab design and would be available for use at the manufacturer’s discretion.
Proposal to clarify and correct the text and improve the definition of photometric stability.
