Proposal for Supplement 4 to the 03 series of amendments to Regulation No. 11
Proposal to introduce provisions to prevent the unintentional opening of rear doors while the vehicle is in motion. The amendment address doors equipped with interior handles that would enable opening from inside the vehicle, including installation of locking systems.
This proposal (WP.29/2016/33) was adopted by the World Forum. Thirty-five Contracting Parties out of the 44 applying UN R11 were present for the vote by AC.1. Thirty-five voted in favor with zero against and zero abstaining.
