Task force established in September 2017 to develop specifications for reversing alarms, based on a proposal (document GRB-66-07) from Germany and Japan. Japan agreed to chair the group. France, Germany, Netherlands, Korea, Turkey and the European Commission have expressed interest in developing the regulation for medium-heavy vehicles. This initiative complements work by GRSG on camera-monitor systems requirements under UN R46. Interest has also been expressed in parking sensors for light vehicles.
