Proposal to amend the transitional provisions in the draft 03 series of amendments (document WP.29/2017/18) in line with the new guidelines presented for adoption (document WP.29/2017/53) pursuant to Revision 3 to the 1958 Agreement.

Proposal to reduce the administrative burden in obtaining approvals for electrical cables according to UN Regulation No. 118 by allowing for test reports and/or approvals established under ISO 6722:2006 (previous version of the current ISO 6722:2011) to remain valid.
This proposal (WP.29/2017/16) was adopted by the World Forum. Thirty-five Contracting Parties out of the 49 applying UN R118 were present for the vote by AC.1. Thirty-five voted in favor with zero against and zero abstaining.

Proposal for the 03 series of amendments to Regulation No. 118
Proposal for the 03 series of amendments to Regulation No. 118
Proposal to improve and clarify provisions concerning the approval of interior materials, cables and insulation materials. The proposal adds new requirements for cable sleeves and conduits, modifies vertical testing requirements under Annex 8 to allow testing of small test samples and to clarify their fixation to the specimen holder, and adds a new Annex 10 on provisions for testing of electrical cables.
This proposal (WP.29/2017/18) was adopted by the World Forum. Thirty-five Contracting Parties out of the 49 applying UN R118 were present for the vote by AC.1. Thirty-five voted in favor with zero against and zero abstaining.
