Proposal to define minimum safety-belt installation specifications for forward-facing seats which face a Child Restraint System in M₂ and M₃ vehicles and to prevent the approval mark from being replaced by a Unique Identifier.

Proposal to:

define minimum safety-belt installation specifications for forward-facing seats which face a Child Restraint System in M₂ and M₃ vehicles
introduce definitions, requirements and a test procedure for lower tether anchorages
prohibit use of the Unique Identifier in place of the UN R16 approval mark, and
remove two exemptions for two-point belts
clarify the requirements for safety-belt reminder of rear seat row(s)
clarify:
1. how to assess safety-belt reminder connection, in the case of removable seats and
2. safety-belt reminder systems test procedure (first and second level warning), visual warning and requirements for safety-belt reminder of rear seat row(s).
