Modifications primarily to the headform test procedures in accordance with the proposed amendment 2 to GTR No. 9 as amended and adopted by the GRSP as its 54th session (document GRSP-54-09/Rev.1 as amended and reproduced in Annex V to the GRSP session report. The proposal addresses the adult headform test area and bumper test area.

Draft 01 series of amendments to Regulation No. 127 presented in a consolidated text of the regulation as adopted by GRSP and which aligns the test requirements of UN Regulation No. 127 with UN GTR No. 9 Phase 2 (Flex-PLI), incorporating Supplement 1 to the original version of the UN Regulation (determination of the headform test points). This proposal was adopted by the GRSP at its 54th session based on document GRSP-54-15-Rev. 1 as reproduced in Addendum 1 (document GRSP/54/Add.1) to the session report.

Proposal from the Bumper Test Area Task Force to revise the procedure for determining the bumper test area under the pedestrian safety regulation. The proposal introduces a “bumper beam” method for determining the test area and includes a 31 December 2017 transition date.
