Series of Amendments, Supplements, and Corrigenda

This page lists changes to UN R10 by series of amendments, supplements, and corrigenda. A new series occurs when there is a material change in requirements such that an approval granted prior to the change is not equivalent to an approval given after the change. A supplement generally improves the clarity of the regulation; however, a supplement may also involve changes to the scope (range of products) covered by the regulation. A corrigenda is a correction to the text.

Proposal to align UN R10 with the vehicle narrow-band limit and the latest set-ups (artificial networks, harness location, Z-folding, …) for vehicles in charging mode under the International Special Committee on Radio Interference (CISPR) 12 Standard. The proposal also introduces additional details for vehicles in charging mode operating conditions (alternating or direct current charging).	WP.29/2019/20

106. The World Forum considered the draft amendments under items 4.9.1 to 4.9.3 and recommended their submission to AC.1 for voting, subject to the below corrigenda. 107. For agenda item 4.9.1, document ECE/TRANS/WP.29/2019/17, the correct title shall read: “Proposal for Supplement 2 to the 02 series of amendments to UN Regulation No. 53 (Installation of lighting and light-signalling devices for L3 vehicles)”. 108. For agenda item 4.9.2, document ECE/TRANS/WP.29/2019/18, the correct title shall read: “Proposal for Supplement 20 to the 01 series of amendments to UN Regulation No. 53 (Installation of lighting and light-signalling devices for L3 vehicles)”. 109. The Chair of GRE presented amendment proposal contained in ECE/TRANS/WP.29/2019/20 under agenda item 4.9.4, to amend UN Regulation No. 10. The World Forum recommended their submission to AC.1 for voting.

Proposal to require that the vehicle manufacturer’s statement regarding frequency bands, power levels, antenna positions and installation provisions for the installation of radio frequency transmitters (RF-transmitters) be added to the information document (e.g. under item 63, Annex 2A) to facilitate conformity of production and other compliance checks. GRE-89-17

Discussion from 89th GRE session

35. GRE considered a draft new 07 series of amendments to UN Regulation No. 10 prepared by IWG EMC (ECE/TRANS/WP.29/GRE/2023/27 and GRE-89-17). In the course of an in-depth discussion, GRE realized that consensus was not reached on the transitional provisions and the Accident Emergency Call System (AECS) covered by UN Regulation No. 144. For the AECS system, the expert from Japan presented a separate proposal (GRE-89-26).

36. GRE requested IWG EMC to continue their deliberations on the 07 series of amendments to UN Regulation No. 10 with a view to preparing a revised proposal for the next session. It was also agreed that IWG EMC would continue working on the future 08 series of amendments to UN Regulation No. 10. All GRE experts were invited to participate in the IWG EMC activities.
